MIKASA MVA200 The New Mikasa Volleyball

The new volleyball will change the way the game is played.

We have been developing competition volleyballs and delivering proposals to the market.
Amongst these, the “MVP 200” was recognized in 2000 as the Official International Game Ball volleyball. This ball features three-color panels made of “Clarino®” synthetic leather produced by Kuraray Co., Ltd., with whom we have forged a partnership over many years.
Now, we have developed the new model “MVA 200” for even longer rallies, and even more exciting games that will leave a lasting impression.

Development Concepts

Pursuit of soft feel and touch

The soft feel and touch of the ball have been enhanced due to the “dual layer cushion structure” consisting of a microfiber nonwoven fabric layer with a spongelike texture, coated with a polyurethane skin with a foam layer.

2.Microfiber nonwoven fabric layer with a spongelike texture
Pursuit of controllability

Ball controllability has been improved significantly. The ball surface has been processed with new dimple embossing, and also features our newly developed “multipattern structure,” in which the flat surface is impressed with micro embossing, and special surface nanotech processing. This ensures that the ball surface will be non-slip even in contact with sweat.
Due to the effect of the new “multipattern structure,” turbulence in the air surrounding the ball when it is in flight is greatly reduced, so that the ball will trace an even straighter flight trajectory than existing models(MVP200).

Pursuit of visibility ? innovative design to meet the changing demands of the market

The design has been changed from the traditional 18 panels to an innovative design featuring eight panels arranged in a flower petal pattern. Also, the colors have been changed from the previous three colors (blue, white, and yellow), white was removed to leave two colors (blue and yellow). The new colors were given added brightness to produce vivid, rich colors for improved ball visibility.
