Brasilia, Brazil, April 19th –We, Mikasa Corporation, are pleased to announce that we have concluded the partnership agreement with Brazilian Federation for the next five years and our balls ,MVA200 and VLS300 will be the official game ball for both indoor and beach volleyball competitions which are held by Brazilian Volleyball Federation (CBV).
The deal was set in Brasilia, Brazil´s capital which is hosting the first stop of FIVB Beach Volleyball SWATCH World Tour 2012. Mr. Ary Graca Filho, president of CBV, and Daisuke Akiyama, Corporate Officer and General Manager International Sales Department of Mikasa, signed the contracts and celebrated the partnership.
“Mikasa is the official supplier of FIVB (International Federation of Volleyball) for many years. They produce a high-quality ball, which will raise our tournament´s level in the next years. Besides of that, our players will now be able to play the whole season, in Brazil or outside it, with the same balls”, said Mr. Graca.
Mr. Akiyama exposed Mikasa´s satisfaction about being a partner of the Brazilian volleyball.
“This is a special day for our company. We are very excited for working with Brazilian Federation. Mikasa wants to keep participating in the development of volleyball, now also in Brazil. I hope this deal can last many, many years”, commented.
Beach volleyball Brazilian star Juliana, who also took part of the meeting, praised CBV and Mikasa for the initiative.
“This is a very important step for the growing of Brazilian volleyball. Playing the whole season with the same ball makes all the difference. I would like to thank our president, Mr. Graca, for this initiative, that will help all Brazilian volleyball players”, closed the world champion.
