FINA AND MIKASA RENEW PARTNERSHIP

Lausanne (SUI) February 27, 2013 – FINA has extended its agreement with the Mikasa Corporation of Japan for the period 2013-2016. Mikasa will be the exclusive supplier of water polo balls for all FINA-governed water polo competitions during this four-year period, including the FINA World Championships, which will be held in Barcelona (ESP) in 2013 and in Kazan (RUS) in 2015.

Brasilia, Brazil, April 19th –We, Mikasa Corporation, are pleased to announce that we have concluded the partnership agreement with Brazilian Federation for the next five years and our balls ,MVA200 and VLS300 will be the official game ball for both indoor and beach volleyball competitions which are held by Brazilian Volleyball Federation (CBV).

Kids Volleyball Program in Germany
A project of the Bavarian Volleyball Federation
The project „Volleyball in elementary schools” is a cooperation between the Bavarian Volleyball Federation (BVV) and the Ministry of School in Bavaria. On the initiative of Mr. Klaus Drauschke, the president of the BVV, the project started in March 2011. MIKASA® opened up a drastic new sewing technology – the “TwinSTLock TM” stitching technology. Innovation has changed the stitching method from current 2 thread crossing style(so-called Perfect Stitching) to a hook and wring system(Perfect Stitching plus Hitch Stitching) that prevents stitched panels to open up and to loose its shape after a certain period of playing.

Mikasa – IKF
Since 1985, we, Mikasa Corporation has been working together with the International Korfball Federation (IKF) which was founded in Antwerp (Belgium) on the 11th June 1933 as a continuation of the International Korfball Bureau established in 1924 by the Dutch and Belgian Associations for developing the sport of Korfball.
Our new Korfball, K-5IKF has been released in 2009 and only this ball is the official game ball for all major competitions held by IKF.
Volleyball Cooperation Programme
Mikasa has been supporting the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Programme which has been the essence of this development cooperation since 1989. The main objectives are to generate permanent development impact and to ensure that volleyball and beach volleyball take firm roots within countries and regions that many would think impossible.

The Ligue Europeenne de Natation (LEN) and Mikasa Corporation have renewed the contract, and Mikasa will continuously be the official game ball supplier of LEN water polo events for the period 2013-2016.
